A quick guide on how to connect MailerLite to MailerCheck.

Setting up the MailerLite integration

Using MailerLite to send emails? Here’s how you can connect your MailerCheck account with your MailerLite account to verify your groups and segments. 

First, log in to your MailerLite account to access your API key.

    Go to your Account settings (upper right menu)

    Click on Integrations

    Once you're on the integration page, look for the Developer API section

    Click on the Use button

    On the developer API page, go to the API key section to retrieve the API key

  • 7

    Copy the API key

With the MailerLite API key copied, log in to MailerCheck to connect your MailerLite account.  

Connecting to MailerLite: Method #1

    Go to your MailerCheck account menu (upper right menu)

    Click on Integrations

    On the Integrations page, select MailerLite

    Click on the Connect account button

    A pop-up where you can enter your API key from MailerLite

    Name the account

  • 7

    Click the Add button

The Integration page will update to display the newly created account.

Managing multiple MailerLite accounts? Add multiple MailerLite accounts to your MailerCheck account by clicking on the Add integration button.

Adding MailerLite account: Option #2

Here’s the second way you can connect to your MailerLite account:

    Go to My lists (top navigation)

    Click on the Verify new list button

    From the list options, click on the Use button for MailerLite

    On the Authenticate MailerLite page, click the Choose an account dropdown

    Select Add account

  • 6

    Enter your MailerLite API key

  • 7

    Name the integration

  • 8

    Click on the Authenticate button

Now your MailerCheck account is set up to verify your MailerLite groups and segments. 

Using the MailerLite integration

Once the integration to your MailerLite account is complete, it’s time to verify your groups and segments.  

In MailerCheck:

    Go to My lists

    Click on Verify new list

  • 2

    Click on the Use button for MailerLite integration

    On the Authenticate MailerLite page, choose the MailerLite account you’d like to verify

    Click on the Authenticate button

    On the MailerLite import page, choose the Group or Segment you’d like to import and verify

    Click on the Verify list button to start the verification process

    View the progress by going to My lists

  • 9

    Once complete, click on View details to view, download or export the results

Note: The Export selected button is only available if the verified list was a group or segment list from MailerLite.

Export the results back into your MailerLite account

    Select the statuses you’d like to export

  • 1

    Click the Export selected button

When the exporting to MailerLite process is complete:

    Log in to your MailerLite account

  • 4

    Go to Subscribers and then Groups

Once you’re in the Groups tab, you will see that a new group was created during the MailerCheck export process. This group is the name of the original list verified appended with (MailerCheck results).

Additionally, the MailerCheck export process created a custom field on each subscriber’s profile called MailerCheck result

By using this custom field in your subscriber filters, you can exclude any risky or do-not-send-to statuses from your subscriber lists. Doing so can result in higher deliverability and engagement rates.
